Are minimalist wallets good for cash?

Yes—if they’re built for it. The best minimalist wallets include a dedicated cash pocket or cash slot so bills don’t puff up the card slots. If a minimalist wallet has no cash solution, cash will feel annoying fast.

What’s the best minimalist wallet for front-pocket carry?

The best one is the wallet that stays flat, structured, and quick-access in the front pocket. Look for:

Slim profile (no thick fold or overstuffing)

Does RFID work when the wallet is open?

It depends on how the RFID shielding is built. If the protection is only in one panel, it may work best when fully closed. If it’s built into the pockets/slots, it can still protect during normal use even when the wallet isn’t perfectly closed.

How many cards should a minimalist wallet hold?

For most guys, 3–8 total cards is the sweet spot (including an ID), plus a little cash if needed. More than that and you’re basically rebuilding the thick wallet you said you were done with.
